Propitiation and Atonement Podcast
Excellent explanation! I have been a Christian for 54 years. I was not raised “in the church” but Jesus drew me to himself through circumstances that placed me in a Junior High where I met a few new friends who had something in their lives that I didn’t. I thought it was that they all went to church. I asked my Mom if we could go to church and her reply was, “No, but you can.” The following Sunday my Dad started driving me to the church where my grandmother attended and dropped me off at the door! It was there that I heard the gospel message very clearly stated and discovered what these 12 and 13 year old kids had that I didn’t; it was a savior! It was Jesus! After all these years of reading the scriptures the sacrificial system became a little clearer today! . For some reason, this particular fact either escaped me, or I forgot, or it just didn’t sink in before now… that it was the act of the Priest placing his hand on the sacrifice, the animal, that transferred the sins of the people onto the animal!
It really makes the sacrificial system of old much clearer! I always understood that Christ was our sacrificial lamb who took our sins on himself but I hadn’t thought about it through the symbolic placing of the priests hand on the animal that transferred the peoples sins on to the animal!
It probably was stated in a sermon at some point but I either forgot or it just clicked! 😀
All of this just to say thank you for your Podcast today! We never stop learning from the living, breathing word of God.

Podcast of the future
The only thing I can say is that this is a podcast of the future. Rocky is an excellent host, he has a beautiful vision, and I can’t wait to see where this project is headed. Keep it up. No King but Jesus!

About me
and the show
Hello there! That bald man you see in the picture accompanying this text is the patriarch of the For The King podcast! I am 23 years old and recently engaged to my now fiancé, Candice. I just recently finished up school and started a full time job in the environmental field. I have a bachelors of science in Environmental Science from Indiana University – Bloomington and a Masters degree in Environmental engineering from Purdue University – Lafayette. Although my expertise is in the environmental field, I decided to start this podcast to engage with the world and to get my voice out there in primary matters (ie. Theology, Ethics, the Lordship of Christ). I pray and hope that my voice, as frail and insignificant as it is, carries only the message of the gospel and the word of God that is continuing to renew my mind. From that prior few sentence, along with the nature of the podcast, I imagine you have guessed me as a follower of Christ. This is my identity at its core. Yes I am a male, yes I am a certain ethnicity, yes I am whatever category our culture would have you think of me as you look at that picture to the right, but when all things are considered I see myself as a follower of Christ. This podcast is meant to be an outlet for the renewal of the mind that the Lord has worked in me the past 6 years of following him. I have not arrived and I am being sanctified every day but I pray and hope I can just be an encouragement to fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, and a formidable challenge to any that would identify with some other worldview. I love to think, talk and consider, so please get to know me and interact with me. Dialogue is always the better way.

Money is a powerful tool and we put money where we find value. If the message of the gospel is of utmost value then we ought to put our money towards godly products as Christians. I implore you to support Christian media so that ungodly pagan media can be destroyed.
